What goes in a Care Package?

Each care package contains items that will bring joy and comfort to someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. We work with several small businesses who either donate their products or provide them to us at cost. Each box may contain different items.

“We won’t just survive. We are going to Thrive”

The Thrivers

Meet Dara.

“Every day is still unknown. Some days I am filled with hope & gratitude. Some days I live in grief. But I wouldn’t of made it this far without my community. The survivors. Those in treatment. We show up for each other in a way I’ve never seen before. This community is what guides me though the last leg of my treatment.”

Meet Aurora.

1 year cancer survivor. Aurora underwent 18 rounds of chemo and 3 surgeries including a full hysterectomy. Aurora is a wife, mom, grandmother & fitness enthusiast.

Meet Angela.

Currently in remission, but on therapy drugs for Stage III BC. Angela had a different cancer in each breast at the same time. She shares her journey on Social Media to help newly diagnosed women.

Meet Macee.

“After 16 rounds of chemo, fertility treatments and a double mastectomy I am a 9 month Breast Cancer survivor. I was blessed with one of Silvia’s Care Packages. Not only did it make me feel cared for & loved by a stranger, but the fan saved me! Medical menopause & hot flashes are no joke.”

Meet Aurora Jean.

“I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Stage 1 TNBC on 8.17.20. After going through a vast range of different treatments I was declared NED (no evidence of disease) on 11.30.21. Days short of my 35th birthday I was able to have my exchange surgery and receive my squishy ‘foobs’. I”m excited to see where this new life of mine takes me.”

Meet Melissa.

Wife & Mom to 2 boys. Before being diagnosed with Stage III BC she was just going through the motions. Meslissa says “I think as women we put a lot of personal pressure on ourselves for everything to be perfect. It honestly doesn’t need to be, in fact it’s totally exhausting. I have made myself a priority now rather than always putting myself last. I would never have chosen to have cancer but I did and therefore I will not take a single day for granted ever again.”

Meet Leida.

Breast Cancer Survivor. Small Business owner. Big supporter of our care packages.

Leida regularly mails us donations for our care packages. We are so thankful for her ongoing support. Leida says:

“I’m in a very happy place right now. I do have bad days & that’s ok. I don’t take anything for granted. I”m simply enjoying the new person I’ve become. I’m Stronger and I’m determined to keep going.”

Meet Alex.

“In February of 2020 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative BC. With 2020 being the start of covid & isolation, care packages are what kept me motivated and reminded me that I wasn’t fighting alone. I’m happy to say I am currently considered ‘cancer free’ !”
